family a default judgment.
The shrine is on a piece of land in Kandeke Village in Seke that has been under dispute between Madzibaba Nzira and the Mhundwa family.
The Mhundwa family was represented by Thondhlanga and Associates.
The family claimed that the land encompassing the shrine was allocated to it in 1992 by the Harava Rural District Council. The Mhundwa family produced documents confirming that it owned the piece of land.
The family members said that they wanted to use the land and Madzibaba Nzira’s followers should re-locate.
Madzibaba Nzira died last year from a heart ailment at his house at the shrine, just nine months after his release from jail on medical grounds.
He had been released from prison on medical grounds while serving a 20-year jail term for rape.
Madzibaba Nzira was in March 2003 slapped with a 42-year prison term after being convicted of seven counts of rape and one of indecent assault involving two women at his shrine.
But 10 years were suspended on condition of good behaviour before another 12 were slashed by the High Court on appeal.
