Ochi City hosts Macheso, Chipfumo

confirmed the return of Gomba adding he was now as fit as a fiddle.
“Yes, Obert has been away for a couple of days but he is now back. He even performed at one of our shows during the weekend,” he said.
During Gomba’s absence Macheso relied on the services of First Sakala and Watson Gurunya.
Orchestra Mberikwazvo assistant manager Jethro Machanja said Macheso would be sampling new songs at the show.
“The boss has of late been sampling new songs and this show is no exception,” he said.
Progress Chipfumo who was down with TB early this year said he would give his best at the show.
“It’s an honour to share the stage with artistes like Macheso and I promise my fans a good show on Sunday.
“I know I had starved my fans of new songs but the situation was beyond my control,” he said.
The “Tsiurika” hit-maker said he was discouraged to record new albums because of piracy.
“When you think of piracy, you feel used because you work for nothing.
“However, for the sake of my loyal fans I will drop a new song from the upcoming album ‘Ndoenda Harare’ which I think is equally a good project,” said Chipfumo.
He said he wanted to prove his critics wrong that he was no spent force.
“People have been making a lot of unfounded allegations, eeh Proggie apera (Progress is now a spent force) and I hope this album will go a long way in setting the record straight,” he said.
