Everything being equal and the United States of America being as judicious and as honest as it wants the world to believe it is, the Joe Biden administration would not support CCC in Zimbabwe’s 2023 harmonised elections.
But in a desperate attempt to remove Zanu PF, the US is running against the grain of logic and progressive politics.
The US is running against the grain of democracy and creating a despot in CCC leader Nelson Chamisa.
This is political chicanery.
Chamisa and his party lack all the ingredients of democracy, good governance and accountability. Everything is centred on Chamisa himself not the organisation.
The chaos in CCC at the nomination court emanating from Chamisa’s leadership style, speaks to gothic, old fashioned and archaic politics.
One man cannot run everything.
Even Jesus Christ, the son of God worked with a dozen disciples and many other people, yet Chamisa thinks he can do everything alone. My foot! And, the US supports him? What crass?
For the US to support a party that has not held a congress to elect leadership, a superfluous party run by one self-appointed person and a party whose leader cherry-picks candidates, is to support dictatorship and all the vices that go with it.
Was it not Shakespeare who wrote; “It takes good people do no nothing for the evil to prevail?”
Understandably, the US has long lost its moral standing as the so-called world policeman and beacon of democracy that it wants to pose as, because it has shown outright disregard of the same tenets of democracy in many fronts.
The US has now become a devil preaching sanctity!
Back in the village, elders with cotton tuft hair would have said, the devil is running away with the Bible.
We all know how Joe Biden and his son Hunter have been fingered in corrupt deals in Ukraine and beyond and how they view with disregard, other nations, from little Zimbabwe to Russia and China.
It is a fact, not fiction, that in the case of Zimbabwe, the US is supporting CCC, in any form or format, simply because they see it as its appendage to fighting the ruling Zanu PF.
It is unfortunate that when it comes to fighting Zanu PF, the US throws out of the window all rules and reason and blindly supports any creature, including political creep-crawlers like CCC.
But where are the US principles? Where is US leadership? What hypocrisy? Supporting any political party that does not fit within the tenets of democracy is typical crass.
But we have known that the US wants to create another Zelensky in Zimbabwe; a crude actor, ruthless and power hungry puppet.
The US wants to create a point person for anarchy, a point person for evil and indeed a point person for disregarding rules and regulations. Like Zelensky, Chamisa knows how to act and how to be used to fight using crude tactics.
The only good thing is that Zanu PF under President Mnangagwa has refused to be drawn into violence.
We all know that in Ukraine, Zelensky is now a clown in a political moppet show run by the US.
Zelensky is now under total control of Washington and has through the war, reversed all the gains Ukraine had for decades.
Ramshackle car and building, huge pits, debris and dead bodies are what the country now has. How silly?
Zelensky is now too deep in trouble that he has to cling on to Washington and the West, but his country is greatly damaged and his people are hurt.
Zelensky is now a vital cog in US propaganda and with little regard of facts and history, he would have avoided the conflict with Russia. But puppets are always puppets.
Zimbabwe risks the same if Chamisa is allowed to win the election running of a pedestal of a self-centred dictator, whose only claim to politics is support from the US and its allies.
If Chamisa wins, Zimbabwe is finished. Zimbabwe is sold out. The US takes over and starts controlling him like a tot on strings.
Zimbabweans in their broad totality should therefore ensure that Chamisa does not win the election because America would have won. No to another Zelensky.
The US’ beef with Zanu PF is not democracy.
It cannot be democracy, because Zanu PF brought democracy.
Zanu PF fought for democracy while the US supported those who were against black majority rule and democracy.
Zanu PF had to go to war, to win democracy.
War by its nature shed blood. Gallant sons and daughters of Zimbabwe died for democracy and Zimbabweans can only sanctify and pacify them by defending the gains of our independence.
So, in the matrix of the August 2023 harmonised election, I have made a very interesting observation, the United States of America has played out as brazen hypocrite.
Day in day out, the US has lectured to the world the need to be democratic and to implement good governance and accountability.
That today plays out as a fallacy and a smokescreen behind which to hide its regime change agenda and ultimately gain access to vast untapped natural resources.
The US is supporting CCC at the expense of democracy and everything right. A party must have a congress. A party must have structures.
This is not the era to create dictators. This is an era to enhance democracy and uphold human rights and respect for other countries, regardless of their size.
US should stop this brazen chicanery.
The world sees and the world has changed. We cannot take it backwards for political expedience.
