Old Boys aim high

FORMER champions Old Hararians are eyeing the big prize and their coach Cyprian Mandenge wants them back where they belong — as kings of the domestic Lion Lager National Rugby League. The Old Boys lead the championship race with 49 points. Having finished fourth last season, Old Hararians have now only lost once in their 11 league matches.
The Old Boys are nine points clear of Old Georgians, who are in second place, but have played two fewer games.
Mandenge said their eyes were on the ultimate prize.

“Our target is to win the league and we can only win if we continue working hard,” said Mandenge.
“We have three games left to play before the semi-final so we have to continue training hard.

“We just hope that there will be few injuries because that affects the team. We have been working as a team from the players to the management and I am happy with that. I enjoyed our last encounter against Sports Club, it was a good game but we should not get carried away continue to raise the bar.”
