Omuhle Gela joins The Queen

Actress Omuhle Gela is joining the cast of  Mzansi Magic’s telenovela The Queen.

She will be playing Khumbuzile on popular week-night soapie.

Speaking to SunBuzz she said: “I am really excited and I appreciate the opportunity, I have always been a big fan of the Queen so finally joining the cast is a dream come true.”

She said her character is a tricky one but interesting and she believes people will learn a lot from it.

“Without revealing a lot, the character that I am playing is a very tricky one but quite interesting, Khumbuzile is  someone’s daughter who was kept as a secret for a long time and nobody new about her, she comes back and reunite with her family,” she said.

She said fans will have to watch The Queen to find out more about Khumbuzile.

Omuhle’s first acting role was on Muvhango where she played Busi, the daughter of businessman James Motsamai.

Omuhle told SunBuzz that she will be launching her swim wear later this year and her future plans also include being her own boss.

“I studied Bachelor of Arts in Motion Pictures therefore I see myself going behind the scenes as well. To me the end goal is to own a production company and also this year people should look out for my swim wear line that I will be launching towards the end of festive season,” she said.
