MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed a shock kick-off time for their trip to Crystal Palace – after the latest batch of TV picks were announced.
The Red Devils are still searching for their first away win of the season thanks to being pegged back and having to settle for a 1-1 draw against fierce foes Leeds on Sunday.
And United are now set to make the long journey to Palace for a 7pm kick-off on December 13 after being named among the Premier League’s televised showdowns. The clash was selected by TNT Sports and would usually have got underway at 12.30pm a day earlier.
But Palace, who are looking to bounce back from their heavy defeat to arch-rivals Brighton, will be in Poland taking on Jagiellonia Bialystok on Thursday December 10.
That resulted in their home encounter with United having to be pushed back from the usual TNT Sports slot.
The Red Devils will also have their daunting trips to Newcastle and Arsenal televised before Christmas.
All 20 Premier League sides are on course to be on Sky Sports in the first three days of December.
And Liverpool’s trip to Chelsea is another standout fixture that has been selected by TNT Sports.
The North London derby between Tottenham and reigning champions Arsenal has been given a new time slot of 4.30pm on December 6.
Manchester City maintained their 100 per cent winning record by beating Ipswich on Saturday.
And Erling Haaland and Co will be on Sky Sports when they welcome Chelsea to the Etihad on December 12.
Liverpool’s home contest with Tottenham is in line to be on the box after being picked by Sky Sports.
A host of familiar faces will be up against their former side when Aston Villa make the trip to Chelsea just before Christmas.
Emiliano Martinez, Nicolas Jackson and Morgan Rogers – who cost the West Londoners a club-record £117million during the summer – are on course to lock horns with their ex-employers on December 21.
But the showdown will be brought forward by 24 hours if either side are still in the hunt for Carabao Cup glory.
European games could also lead to fixtures involving Bournemouth and Brighton being changed.
