Opening up to the Holy Spirit

Jesus did not only come to carry our sicknesses but also our emotions. You must know that there is somebody who wants you to be happy. Concentrate on those who love you because it is impossible for everyone to talk good about you and appreciate you. As long as you are alive there will be people who will oppose you.

Luke 6:28 

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. (KJV)

Doing this enables God to heal and deliver you and it preserves you from keeping things in your heart that can cause demons of bitterness, retaliation, anger and hatred to come in. There is a time when a pastor has to leave everything in the hands of God. Realise that a bully in leadership needs love. The people who are trying to destroy any ministry are some you are close to, and they are seriously emotionally unhealthy. Do not put pressure on yourself. Know that there is someone who suffered and died for you.

Isaiah 53:3 

He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.(NKJV)

People that lead people need to expose their emotions to the Word of God. The Word cleanses and heals you. As you progress in ministry there will be higher levels of demons to contend with and the Word becomes our stronghold in times of trouble.

It is not easy to give when you are not emotionally stable. Men of God are called to give of themselves daily so there is a need to be rooted and grounded in love. Some pastors are standing up in front of their churches and yet they are bleeding inside. Many ministers of the Word are committing suicide because their emotions have not been healed.

Whether you like it or not you can never cheat your emotions. When you are not emotionally healed you can get people under your armpits and they will be choked. There is pressure the day before the preacher goes to preach. In leading a church in general, there are a lot of spiritual effects that one gets before going to preach.
