The youth are an integral part of society as they have profound energy to bring freshness to how things are done, bridging the gap in policy formulation and building peer participation for community change.
Young people advocate for issues that confront them as a result of changing of the the status quo and their input helps the general populace to live longer, be more productive, and live happier lives.
There is discord in homes, fear in the marketplace, and uncertainty about what the future holds.
Everyone seeks to find meaning in some way, and Christian movements provide fundamental answers to questions of ultimate concern as they see the world in an unambiguously dichotomous way.
Christ Centred Youths Movement in Bulawayo is an epitomy of raising a Christ-centred generation. It is helping youths to navigate their way out of the jaws of societal discrimination and criticism.
A brainchild of Tendai Abiola Dhodho, “an animal scientist” and author of “devoted woman” with her team is provoking the thinking and visualisation capacity of youths in Zimbabwe to become a generation of impact in raising the flagship of Christ high in all facets.
Recently it partnered with The Rise Of A Chosen Generation Movement, TROACG led by Dr. Caleb, “a Doctor and Youth Pastor”, Coach Emmah Incorporation led by Edith Kasukuwere, “an Author and Life Coach” and other visionaries; Thubalami Dube, Seth Ncube, Princess Moyo, Thabo Makhuya and Banele Ndlovu for a ministration at Inyathi High School as part of their efforts to raise a youthful generation after Christ.
The society we live in nowadays has a deformed and skeletal view of how one should be perceived. Most youths if not all, seek recognition without putting in the necessary effort.
There is a pretence that one has it all figured ou,t developing numbness to the toxicity of idolising trends at the expense of moral hygiene and sanity.
Raising a Christ Centred Youth in the community brings equilibrium as it draws the citizens of society into an alternative lifestyle and commitment to issues pertaining to the family, marketplace, and government dynamics. We cannot deny the fact that, as a society there are polarised views thus Christian movements through the youth act as a check on the ideologies and indulgences engraved in individual mindsets.
The rise of a nation starts with an empowered youth in Christ with no intimidation of expressing themselves in the community they inhabit.
We celebrate the liberation struggle and we are particularly grateful to the cadres and comrades that lost their lives on the battlefront fighting for our freedom.
Thus as youths, we need to embrace that independence and build the different communities we live in.
Substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, identity crisis, and unbelief in our capabilities is a spit in the face of our sovereign liberators and Lord.
Unfortunately, we all go through this, but that doesn’t define the reality of who we are as a generation of young able-bodied people.
It all falls and rises on the decision of each youth, that alone indicates the future and progress we will embrace as a community.
