‘Our commitment goes beyond clubs’

PREMIERSHIP sponsors Castle Lager say their commitment goes beyond football, but extends to the communities from which clubs come.

Delta Beverages General Manager Lagers, Lucky Nkuznane, was speaking at the handover of a community borehole to Scottland as part of the commitment they made to the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions and the 2026 Castle Lager Challenge Cup.

“This occasion is about more than commissioning a borehole. It demonstrates what can happen when sport, business and community come together for a common purpose, strengthening our communities and building brands that Zimbabweans can be proud of,” said Nkuznane.

“Through the Castle Lager Challenge Cup, we wanted our champions to extend their victory beyond the football field and into the community they serve, so, as part of their prize, Scottland FC had the opportunity to select a community project for us to support, and today we are proud to fulfil that commitment.

“Delta Beverages commends Scottland FC for choosing such an impactful project. It also reflects Castle Lager’s promise of bringing people together to create meaningful and lasting moments, in this case by improving access to clean water for the Mabvuku community.

“As we hand over this borehole, we recognise that sustainable community development is a shared responsibility. The true measure of today will not be the ceremony itself, but whether this borehole continues to serve families and the wider community for many years to come.”
