MORE than 3 000 local and international delegates are expected to converge in Kwekwe for the 2026 Apostolic Summit, a four-day spiritual gathering poised to boost religious tourism and stimulate economic activity in the city.
The summit, scheduled for October 22 to 25, is the brainchild of New Creation Life Ministries International founders Pastor Joy Museba and his wife, Mary Museba.
The 2026 edition promises to be bigger and better, with a stellar line-up of gospel musicians expected to lead thousands of worshippers in praise and worship.
Among the headline acts are Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife, Ruth Makandiwa, alongside renowned gospel musicians Mathias Mhere, The Unveiled, Blessing Jeduthum, Joyous Celebration and Batsirai Shasha.
The musicians are expected to set the stage for the visit of Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife, who will be visiting their spiritual son, Joy Museba, for another major gathering hosted by New Creation Life Ministries International.
Although Prophet Makandiwa has attended previous events organised by the ministry, the 2026 summit marks his first visit to the Life Centre, the venue for this year’s edition.
The majestic 2 400-seater auditorium is among the notable facilities in Kwekwe, reflecting the city’s growing infrastructure and capacity to host major gatherings.
Speaking ahead of the summit, Pastor Museba described this year’s edition as the greatest of them all, expressing excitement at hosting his spiritual parents.
“We are always glad and expectant whenever we are hosting our parents in the Lord, the man of God, Emmanuel and Ruth Makandiwa. Altars will be raised, and we are expecting a summit on spiritual steroids,” he said.
Beyond its spiritual significance, the summit is already generating economic activity in Kwekwe, with accommodation providers reportedly experiencing increased bookings ahead of the event.
The anticipated influx of more than 3 000 delegates is expected to benefit the hospitality sector and other businesses, further positioning Kwekwe as a destination for major religious gatherings.
