BEAUTY and grooming house, Owen’s Studio, who were one of the Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 premium sponsors, have pledged to work with reigning queen Lyshanda Moyas throughout her reign.

The studio is run by 24-year-old fashionista-cum-beauty expert, Owen Magengezha.

He gave all the finalists beauty hampers based on various products depending on their skin tones.

Speaking at the sidelines of the pageant, Magengezha said he is going to work with Lyshanda until 2026.

“First, we gave all the models the beauty products and we are happy to take part in this year’s edition.

“However, we have pledged to work with Moyas throughout her reign.

“We will be assisting her with all beauty products of her choice, including guidance on what to put on.

“We have beauty experts and this is good for us in the market working with Moyas.”

Magengezha said some of the products are from the United States, Turkey, Brazil, Italy and the Czech Republic.

He said he also wants to work with some of the local celebrities.

“We have received various consultations from local celebrities and we will announce the good news soon.”

Magengezha is known for creating a buzz on the social media platform TikTok, which resonates with a new generation eager to redefine beauty standards.

Growing up in Zimbabwe, his journey into the beauty world began with a simple hustle – selling perfumes.

“Beauty found me before I even realised it. It all started small but I recognised that beauty is about confidence and feeling good in your skin.”

This realisation fuelled his desire to create a meaningful space where customers could not only purchase products but also receive expert guidance tailored to their unique needs.

“My inspiration came from a mix of circumstances and passion. I have always been drawn to industries that empower people and beauty is one of the most transformative industries.

“I also noticed a gap in the market.

“Many beauty supply stores focused on selling products but didn’t offer expert advice or a premium shopping experience.

“I wanted to change by curating a space where customers don’t just buy products but also receive personalised skincare recommendations, engage with trained beauty advisors and feel truly valued in the process.”

His trained beauty advisors provide personalised recommendations based on skin type, concerns and individual preferences.

Magengezha recognises that the beauty industry is ever-evolving, with trends shifting rapidly and customer expectations constantly rising.

His aspirations extend beyond the local market.

He envisions collaborating with influential figures in the beauty and entertainment industry to redefine beauty standards across Africa. His current partnership with Jacque Mgido, a professional makeup artist based in the USA, aims to bring premium-quality makeup products to beauty enthusiasts in Zimbabwe.

“Beauty and fashion go hand in hand. I believe in looking good while staying comfortable and true to yourself,” he expresses.
