Padenga H1 2026 profit surges on exceptional gold mining performance

VICTORIA Falls Stock Exchange-listed Padenga Holdings delivered strong financials for the six months to June 2026, driven by an exceptional operational performance from its gold mining business.

The group’s performance was primarily anchored by its mining subsidiary, Dallaglio Investments, which benefited from higher gold sales volumes and elevated global gold prices.

Dallaglio generated US$182,34 million in revenue during the period, representing 97 percent of total group revenues and marking a 48 percent increase from US$123,37 million recorded in the comparative prior period.

The mining division’s profit before tax surged 127 percent to US$93,75 million from US$41,31 million.

This strong mining growth was driven by a four percent increase in gold production to 1 345 kilogrammes, combined with gold sales volumes rising to 43 228 ounces from 41 528 ounces.

The mining division also achieved a higher average realised gold price of US$4 668 per ounce compared to US$3,106 per ounce in the comparative period of 2025.

On the back of the mining performance, Padenga Holdings’ total consolidated revenue from continuing operations rose 44 percent to US$187,74 million from US$130,68 million.

Group profit after taxation increased by 212 percent to US$82,75 million for the six months, up from US$26,49 million recorded in the previous year.

Profit before taxation grew 161 percent to US$107,31 million from US$41,10 million recorded in the first six months of 2025.

Operating profit before depreciation, impairment, amortisation and fair value adjustments (EBITDA) more than doubled, increasing 110 percent to US$100,82 million compared to US$48,1 million in the previous year.

Shareholders recorded a significant gain as basic earnings per share increased by 217 percent to US10,28 cents from US3,24 cents in the comparative period.

The board declared an interim dividend of US$3,19 per ordinary share, representing a 177 percent increase over the US$1,15 declared in the first half of 2025.

The total interim dividend payout will amount to US$25,68 million.
