Pakistan team to jet in for ODI

THE Pakistan national cricket team is expected to arrive in Harare this morning for two Twenty20 and three one-day international (ODI) matches. However, ODI captain Azhar Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed are in Saudi Arabia to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage and will only join the team after the religious event.

Shahid Afridi will lead the team in Twenty20 matches.

The green shirts will play their first match in Zimbabwe with a Twenty20 against the hosts on September 27 at the Harare Sports Club. The second Twenty20 match will be played on September 29 at the same venue.

The ODI series will begin from October 1. — Online
