Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals has re-opened its Intensive Care Unit following a breakdown a few months ago, the hospital’s chief executive officer has said. In an interview yesterday, Mr Thomas Zigora said the ICU was closed for just a few days before it re-opened after faults were attended to.
“There were some minor hitches which were attended to immediately.
“Our patients were transferred to Harare Central Hospital when the ICU was being attended to,” Mr Zigora said.
The ICU caters for patients who have the most severe and life-threatening illnesses, injuries and conditions, requiring close and constant monitoring.
