Degeneres in an interview that appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show.
In the interview (which was a last-minute replacement after Lindsay Lohan failed to show up for her scheduled appearance on Tuesday), opened up about a variety of different topics, including the most memorable thing her father ever told her: Never forget. “He said, ‘If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice, and I remembered everything he told me,” Paris shares with Degeneres.
Paris also reveals that the King of Pop influenced her decision to go into acting, and that the father-daughter duo used to spend their time playacting together for fun.
“My dad was in the movie Moonwalker, and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him’,” Paris shares. The budding actress has a role in the upcoming fantasy movie.
In one of the interview’s more revealing moments, Jackson also speaks out about the masks that her father used to make her and her brothers, Prince and Blanket, wear when they went out in public.
Although the teenager clearly has a lot of love for her late father, even she admits that the masks were a bit strange. “I’m like, ‘This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask’?” she tells Ellen.
“But I kind of realised the older I got, like, he only tried to protect us. And he’d explain that to us, too.”
These days, Paris Jackson’s life is a lot like every other teenager’s. She plays flag football, hangs out with her friends, and teases her siblings. “I’m treated the same,” she says. “When I came to (her school), they didn’t know who I was. I was like, yes, I have a chance to be normal.” – Zimbio.com
