KALISTO Pasuwa’s passion to maintain Nyasa Big Bullets’ dominance in the Malawi’ Premiership doesn’t seem like it will end soon.
He has already set the tone for another league championship crown after getting the better of Bangwe All Stars on Friday.
They are now two points clear at the top of the pile, five games into the new campaign.
And this time he is not winning alone.
He has now turned to his son, Kenneth, who he handed a debut in Friday’s victory.
Kenneth was introduced in the 65th minute in what was also his first time to play under the supervision of his father.
Pasuwa is chasing his fifth successive title with Bullets which would be his ninth title in nine seasons should he keep his grip after winning four in a row with Dynamos before heading to Malawi.
Kenneth admitted that it was strange and fun to receive instructions from his dad.
“It’s something which I always wanted to experience, but the dream appeared to be fading as I grew. There was a time when I concluded that I would never play under my father because of different reasons.
“But I’m really happy that it has finally happened. I enjoyed every minute and I’m looking forward to adding value to the team,” said Kenneth.
“It’s good that the team has started well and it’s going to be a long race, but I’m confident of a positive ending.
“I have settled well because I was familiar with the team’s players and style of play because I used to watch them regularly during my visits here.
“It has helped me a lot and naturally, the environment is just kind enough for any new player to adapt with ease.”
