KALISTO Pasuwa will tomorrow lead his Malawian champions, Nyasa Big Bullets, into battle against five-time African champions, TP Mazembe in the first leg of CAF Champions league second preliminary round.
This first leg of the second preliminary round fixture will take place at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe while the return leg is in Kinshasa on September 30.
Nyasa Big Bullets are seeking a place in the group stage, a feat they last achieved in the tournament 19 years ago.
Pasuwa is going to this David versus Goliath assignment with the help of his son, Kenneth.
In an interview with Zimpapers Sport, Kenneth said they have destiny in their own hands.
“Their name is quite big in Africa and they are known all over the world because of their past success.
“We are going into this match as underdogs and that will also help us to be mindful. We are going to give our best for our fans and we are not thinking much about what they have done in the past.
“We are motivated to knock them out everyone wants to end this long wait and we are going to try our best to win at home,” said.
He added:
“We are going to play to our strengths, our coaches have been emphasising the importance of approaching this game with maximum concentration.
“This is our chance to put smiles on the face of our fans, and I feel that we are in good space to upset them.
“We are going to apply what our coaches have been telling us and everyone knows what this match means to the team.”
Nyasa Big Bullets eliminated Dragon FC of Equatorial Guinea two weeks ago in the first round of the preliminary stage.
