Pavilion Coaches bus in accident near Mount Darwin tollgate

A Pavilion Coaches bus was involved in an accident near Mount Darwin tollgate after its front tyre reportedly burst, causing it to veer into the forest.

No fatalities have been reported.

Mr Lovemore Makwara, a manager at Pavillion Coaches confirmed the development but said he is yet to get finer details of the accident.

“As of now I have no finer details about what transpired to cause the accident, but l have been told the front tyre burst. Fortunately there are no deaths,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Passengers Association of Zimbabwe (PAZ) has reminded bus drivers to exercise caution when driving.

“PAZ reminds all road users to prioritise safety and follow traffic regulations,” said Mr Tafadzwa Goliati, the organisation’s national coordinator.

The police are yet to confirm the accident and the number of injured passengers.
