PRINCE Edward School first team had a flying start at the invitational tournament in Namibia when they made it to the semi-finals after winning all their pool games.
The Zimbabwean school rugby side beat Technical High School 29-0 in their first match and continued with their winning form against Dawidbez School and Windhoek Affies.
Their coach Shaun De Souza’s Tigers made it into the semi-finals where they were scheduled to play Windhoek Gymnasium later last night.

The Tigers are currently the second best schools rugby team in Zimbabwe behind Peterhouse.

De Souza said the tournament was important as they are not only getting exposure at a big stage but were also giving a chance to new players in their squad to showcase their talent.

Their 23-member rugby squad is a mixture of new and old players.

While the Tigers were celebrating their victory and qualifying to the semi-finals, their Under-15 side were not as successful as they lost 24-0 to Windhoek High School.

The final of the tournament is scheduled for today.
