Pensioners pay dates moved

Government has moved the date for payment of benefits of former members of the Public Service from June 9 to June 14 this year.

In a statement, Finance and Economic Development Minister Patrick Chinamasa said this was to allow for the mobilisation of requisite resources.

“To allow for mobilisation of the requisite resources, Treasury advises that the May 2016 payment date for pension benefits for former members of the Pubic Service is being moved from June 9 to June 14, 2016.

“Treasury sincerely regrets all inconveniences caused,” reads the statement.
