SCOTT VINCENT will this morning take part in the South Africa Amateur Stroke Play championships at Mt Edgecombe in Kwazulu Natal.
The tournament will be played over 72 holes.
Vincent is the only local golfer who is playing in the field of 260 players.
According to the tournament’s website, young Danie van Tonder, will be the hot favourite to win.
Vincent received a direct entrance into the tournament on the strength of his position as the leading amateur in the country.
The tournament has 25 foreign players. Vincent was one of the 100 players who were exempted for the tournament.
