adminThe trial is likely to start this morning when Mr Harrison Nkomo, who is representing Ndlovu, is expected to have arrived from Harare after failing to get a flight to Victoria Falls.
Ndlovu (39) is facing charges of culpable homicide for allegedly killing his brother, Adam and a female passenger Nomqhele Tshili, in a horrific accident near Lupinyu Business Centre in Victoria Falls in December last year.
The case is being heard by Victoria Falls magistrate Mr Archibald Dingana. Ndlovu has not been asked to plead to two counts of culpable homicide. He is out of custody on his own cognisance.
On 20 March, Mr Nkomo excused himself saying he had other commitments in Harare and the trial had been slated for yesterday by way of consent between the defence counsel and area prosecutor Miss Namatirai Ngwasha.
Charges against Ndlovu arose when he was driving his BMW X5and allegedly failed to negotiate a curve at the 417km peg along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road, near Lupinyu Business Centre in Victoria Falls and the vehicle veered off the road killing Tshili on the spot while his brother Adam died on his way to Victoria Falls Hospital.
