PHD bouncers in trouble

TWO bouncers from the Prophetic Healing Deliverance Ministries allegedly teamed up with 11 people to assault a Chitungwiza man over a house.
The gang also allegedly threatened to fatally beat up Kimi Tore (37) of Unit N, James Dzamu (40) of 27 Megawatt Court in Harare and Royal Nyandoro (42)  who belong to PHD Ministries.

They are being jointly charged with Tore’s neighbours Clemence Mazuru (42) and Tafadzwa Muchenje (26) who are part of the 11 suspects.

The four are being represented by Mr Everson Chatambudza of Rubaya and Chatambudza Legal Practitioners.

Appearing before Chitungwiza resident magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei, the quartet was not asked to plead to charges of assault and making threats.

Mr Ndirowei remanded them out of custody to November 3 on their own cognition.

It is the State’s case that on October 7 this year, the quartet stormed Tore’s house at around 2pm in the company of nine others. Tore was with his family when the team arrived and threatened him.

They reportedly told Tore that his house was going to be changed ownership to that of PHD founder, Prophet Walter Magaya.

The court heard that the gang allegedly told Tore that he had no say over the house since prophet Magaya’s church built it on his stand for his brother.

The stand belongs to Tore’s late parents.

On the day in question, he was warned not to speak to any of the PHD Ministries members who visit his residence.

During the argument, the court heard that Muchenje reportedly assaulted Tore and throttled him. He was restrained by Tore’s son, Innocent, who was present at the scene.

Ms Pauline Chamunorwa prosecuted.
