– has released his first album titled “Tumirai Vatumwa”.
The talented vocalist split from the group last year to form his own group called Vakushi Gospel.
The 12-track album, recorded, marketed and distributed by Grace Records, carries spiritually uplifting songs that bring the listener closer to God.
Listeners should look forward to songs like “Kose Kose Kwamunonzwa Mukurumbira” which is a praise song extolling God’s omnipotence, while “Tumirai Vatumwa” is a plea to God for deliverance.
“Vanhu Venyu” asks God to take care of his people while “Kudakwashe” is about how God takes charge of everything on earth.
People are reminded to walk in faith and have faith in Jesus Christ in the song “Kufamba NaJesu”.
The rest of the songs are impressive, which makes the album one of the best releases from Grace Records this year.
Vakushi Gospel – made up of 10 members – composes songs inspired by verses from the Bible as well as church hymns.
Zuze started singing in 1993 with the group Chirangano Chavatendi and later on helped in founding the group Vakushi Vevhangeri in 2006 until last year when he founded Vakushi Gospel.
The group also performs at church functions and weddings in an effort to beef up earnings from live shows.
Apart from financial challenges, the group said piracy was an issue affecting them as well as lack of transport.
Zuze said a DVD to the album would be released in August.
