The photographer, who runs a label called 3Shades photography, has worked with leading entertainment and business figures in the city, including a photo shoot for fashion house Shadow by Sdumiso, which featured local DJ and Djembe Monks member Slimzaar wa Africa among many others.
He also was the official photographer at music shows, concerts and fashion shows that took place over the last year including the Da Big Launch hip hop concert, Aisha Couture Fashion show, Anti-virus scream promotion DVD, the collabo short films where he was their director of photography and the Coffashion event that took place last month that saw a unique fusion of coffee culture and fashion.
In an interview recently, Joe said that he was confident that this year will offer more opportunities compared to last year.
He said photography was a great medium to express oneself through capturing images.
“I hope that this year enables me to spread my wings even further.
“Photography means everything to me because it captures memories and events that cannot be re-lived while also creating beautiful stories and illusions that people can enjoy. At this stage in my life I basically live and breathe photography,” he said.
Joe said one of his favourite projects was the Tripple S movement project were he was able to gather a number of artistes from the city and get them to talk about the challenges they faced.
