Pietersen named Daredevils captain

Cape Town – Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen was yesterday appointed captain of the Delhi Daredevils for the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).Pietersen, 33, has represented the Daredevils  since 2012 and told the NDTV Sports website that he was honoured to be made captain for this year’s edition.

He also said he was looking forward to working alongside South African Gary Kirsten, who will be Delhi’s head coach.
The batsman was recently told he won’t be considered for the England national team in future.– Supersport.
