MUSIC diva Plaxedes Wenyika says she is looking forward to a date with a Grammys-winning star.
The Grammy award-winning artist will be performing for the first time in Harare at an event scheduled for March 1 at the Art Farm.
It will feature the likes of Nyasha David, Kae Chaps and Bryan K.
Plaxedes will be the only female artist to perform at the SoulScape.
In an interview with H-Metro, the urban grooves star said:
“It’s great to have a show specifically for soul artists. Looking forward to serenading those who love RnB and Afro Soul.
“Am comfortable holding my own as the only female artist for this particular show.
“I am looking forward to sharing the stage with artists whose music speaks to me.
“This will be my first show of the year, people should come through and let’s have a fantastic Saturday at the Art Farm.
“Great soulful music and good vibes through and through. My fans should help me come up with the playlist for the day.”
The diva said she has some new singles ready to be released.
“I will be dropping a couple of singles later in the year.”
Hailing from Eswatini and based in Johannesburg, Manana has crafted a sound that blends rich jazz harmonies with soulful R&B melodies.
Manana has worked with some of Africa’s biggest artists and is now bringing his magic to SoulScape
His Grammy came from the work he did with Burna Boy on Time Flies, which features Sauti Sol.
He has also worked with Amanda Black and Ami Faku.
