The Plumtree Wanderers stand with a greeting Mabuyani, which means Hello in TjiKalanga, was a hive of activity as visitors were interested in the football team.
The minister also toured the stand.

Menzis Manka, the director of Plumtree Wanderers praised Radio BuKalanga for helping promote the team and said the team is ready for the upcoming season.
“We are new and starting and in 2024 we will be in the Matabeleland South Division Two League. We thank Radio BuKalanga as it has exposed us to the people and they know us in Plumtree and also in Bulawayo. All the jerseys have been sold to people who visited our stand.
“We are a fairly new team and we are following in the footsteps of those who we found here. We are not going to act as if we are better than them, but we are here to compete with our fellow teams and play exciting football,” said Manka.
He said the coach was an inspiration to the team and the community.
“The coach is a legend of football, Johannes Tshuma who played for Highlanders FC, Eagles and Wankie. He played with Rahman Gumbo. Tshuma is a legend and Plumtree Wanderers is a team that has come with a punch. His name also contributed to people knowing about the team and also gained us a lot of support,” said Manka.
