Police spokesperson Superintendent Andrew Phiri yesterday said they were still making frantic efforts to locate the boy.
Given was in the company of his sister and their maid when he vanished at the crowded agricultural show.
“We are still looking for the boy and investigating the case,” said Supt Phiri.
Last week a pastor was jailed for three years for conning the Matapure family of US$2 000 after lying that he could help them locate the child.
Supt Phiri appealed to anyone with information on the missing boy to contact any nearest police station and assist with investigations.
The case is being investigated by detectives from the CID Homicide.
Another 11-year-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped at a church service two weeks ago was found last week dumped along a river near his home naked. The boy was allegedly snatched by four unknown men during a church service at the United Family International Church that was attended by nearly 40 000 people at the Glamis Arena.
Last week, Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri expressed concern over an increase in the number of children who are going missing countrywide in suspected ritual cases.
Comm-Gen Chihuri urged parents and guardians to properly look after their children.
