Wealth is entirely dependent on a few old principles. None of them are new, what is new is the playing ground.
So what you needed to do to make money in the 1950s is still the same thing that you need to do to make money today. The playing ground is environment in which the principles are applied, the rules themselves never change. So if today you are in a Zimbabwe under social and economic distress, it does not mean you change the rules to make money.
The rules remain the same. It’s like a soccer game, there are a million football arenas in the world, but the rules largely remain the same despite the place the teams decide to play. Some of the principles of wealth creation are to supress your spending otherwise known as living within our means, increase saving and invest what you accumulate in savings in wealth creating things. Of cause for me as a Christian a major component of wealth creation is the blessing of the Lord.
Proverbs 10 verse 22
The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it. The rise of a new breed of preachers that do not teach people the truth has caused us to have a society of poor, yet prayerful people. When people read a scripture that says the blessing of the Lord makes one wealthy, immediately they think of a self-proclaimed prophet to consolidate this.
This cannot be further from the truth, you don’t need a prophet to get the blessing of the Lord. To get the blessing of the Lord you only need Jesus Christ. Please note that this is in no way to belittle the office of a pastor. But the truth of the matter is that most of us attend cults that preach other things but Jesus every Sunday and don’t even know it. Jesus is the only gate to the blessing of the Lord.
Not a prophet or pastor. So we pray and pray for money yet remain poor. Far ahead of us in the wealth scale, societies that are largely non believers of Christ seem to be making it. These are people who even speak ill of God. You may wonder why this is so. Simple answer, prayer is not in the wealth creation equation. So no matter how much you pray and fast, if you don’t apply the principle of wealth creation, you will remain a poor man. This a guarantee you.
Galatians 3 verse 14
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. After the blessing of the Lord, the rest is up to you. How wealthy you can become is limited only to your level of work and understanding of how things work.
For example, contrary to what we are told in accounting, a car is not an investment, unless it is used to generate money. In the same manner buying a large house that is too big for your family is a waste of money because like it or not, the bigger the space, the more expensive it is to maintain.
So make it your mission to read books on wealth creation, it is a must that you feed your brain with this knowledge otherwise, our generation doomed. Vast majority of the population is surviving from one meal to the next.
There is not planning for the future of the next generation because the excuse is, I cannot even plan for tomorrow how can I plan for years in advance. This has forced people into a lot of evil practices in search for wealth. But the problem is the same across most African states, people do not know how to create wealth.
For example, South Africa has lowered their standards in matric so much that even the worst of students can pass. They celebrate this and call it giving all their children a chance, but what they do not see is that they are building a society of people that do not want to work hard because everything has always been handed to them.
They are building a tomorrow of people with weak minds, so people in positions of power do not have the mental strength to propel the nation into the bright future that it could have.
As such, expatriates come in, take the jobs and make the money. Because they refuse to think, they run in the streets and kill their fellow African brother. So South Africans, living in a nation of abundance, have no clue how to create wealth.
Avoid dumping large sums of money on things that do not matter.
Buy only what you need, because if you buy what you don’t need, soon you will be selling what you need in order to survive. Learn not to borrow, because the longer they allow you to pay for it, the more it will cost you.
Just like when going to fetch water, one ensures that the bucket is not leaking, if it is you first close the holes before fetching water.
Thus before you earn money, make your mind up what you will save, what you will spend and what you will avoid. Note that saving is the first thing you do after tithing.
Not the last. Unfortunately the twenty first century Christian has a different way of going about it. They go out to fetch water with a bucket which holes in it, then look for a prophet to tell you why the water won’t remained contained in the bucket yet it is clear that they need to block leakages.
This further plunges people into greater poverty because they then take the little money left and get on the next flight to prophet to tell him the bucket is problematic.
The prophet too is a failure because he is in what he calls ministry because he has failed in life, thus he spend hours prophesying things from the sky in order to feed his family. Africans have become a laughing stock in the world for being those that hate books. We do not want to learn. If it has no pictures, chances are an African will not read it.
Most of us last read a book in school. We spend time working to fill our bellies and uteruses. We don’t plan for our future generations. Even when an African inherits wealth and development, very rarely do they maintain it. Usually we are drunk on past victories and success and forget one truth of life, there is no such thing as a permanent victory.
If you stop to admire what you have accomplished and forget to persistently strive to be better, then a day of doom is coming. Everything bad in your life is your fault. I say so because the only person you can truly control is yourself. Yes, bad things have happened to you, but it is up to you how you chose to react. Let us learn to read books, invest in our future and believe in Jesus, not in prophets.
