Potraz donates mattresses, blankets, medicine, food hampers, borehole in Chivhu

CHIVHU General Hospital has received a shot in the arm with a donation from telecommunications regulator Potraz, of blankets, sheets, mattresses and medicine.

Residents and villagers from Chikomba West Constituency which is part of Chivhu in Chikomba district, also received food hampers as part of Potraz’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

The hospital was given 50 blankets, 50 sheets, 50 mattresses and medicine costing $US70 000 for patients with BP, diabetes and mental health diseases among other diseases.

At the hospital, a borehole was drilled and equipped with 20 litres water tanks, solar panels and four taps.

Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Dr Tatenda Mavetera officiated at the event. Also in attendance was Zanu PF politburo member Mr Mike Bimha and senior Government officials among other dignitaries.
