ORGANISERS of the Pumula Royal Arts and Community Awards (PRACAs) are calling on the business community, development partners and well-wishers to support the seventh edition of the awards, as preparations gather momentum.

The three-day event, scheduled for December 17 to 19 in Pumula suburb, Bulawayo, will recognise individuals and organisations whose contributions have made a difference in arts, entertainment, media, literature, entrepreneurship, sport and community development.
Running under the theme, “Creative Voices for Social Transformation and Sustainable Futures”, PRACAs 2026 seeks to celebrate excellence, promote social responsibility and highlight the role of arts and culture in community development.
The event will bring together artistes, community leaders, policymakers, youth change-makers, development partners and private sector representatives for three days of networking, advocacy and celebration.
“The seventh edition of PRACAs 2026 is here, and we invite visionary organisations, businesses, development partners, media houses and institutions to join us in shaping a movement that celebrates creativity, empowers communities and drives social transformation,” reads a statement from the organisers.
Meanwhile, organisers are also inviting applications from individuals interested in volunteering as field officers to assist with the coordination and smooth running of the programme.
“We are looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer field officers to join us. Applicants should be hardworking, committed team players with excellent communication and networking skills, confidence and a willingness to learn,” reads the statement.
