WITH the Castle Lager Premiership championship decided after Scottland clinched gold at the weekend, the focus has now shifted to the other end of the league table as up to eight teams are not safe from the axe.
While Kwekwe United’s demotion has already been confirmed, giants Dynamos and Highlanders are among the teams facing the chop if results do not go their way in the remaining two fixtures before the curtain comes down on the marathon.
Manicaland’s two representatives Manica Diamonds and GreenFuel are also in real danger of going down, occupying 12th and 15th positions respectively on the 18-team standings.
Four teams will be relegated at the conclusion of the campaign, with the same number being promoted from the respective Division One league champions.
