THE rollout of prepaid water meters by Harare City Council and Helcraw Water officials has spread to Aspindale.
Helcraw Water said the installations, which were ongoing, were progressing well with residents actively engaging with the Helcraw Water technical teams during the process.
“In parallel, we are also conducting a community awareness campaign in the area. This initiative is aimed at educating residents on how the prepaid meters work,” he said.
“The initiative is also aimed at demonstrating how to monitor and manage water usage effectively. It is also aimed at addressing concerns and responding to residents’ questions.”
Helcraw Water said the response from the community had been positive, with growing appreciation for the convenience, transparency and efficiency that the prepaid system brings.
Helcraw Water said it remained committed to ensuring both infrastructure upgrades and public engagement go hand in hand as Helcraw Water, in partnership with the City of Harare, works towards a more sustainable and efficient water delivery system for Harare.
