President installed ZNDU Chancellor

President Emmerson Mnangagwa was yesterday installed the first Chancellor of the Zimbabwe National Defence University (ZNDU).

The ZNDU was transformed from the National Defence College in March last year.

Air Vice Marshall Michael Tedzani Moyo, who has been the acting vice chancellor, was also installed substantively to the post during the same ceremony.

The installation of the President as the chancellor was led by the chairman of the university’s council and also Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda.

Following his installation, the President went on to unveil the plaque to signify the launch of the university before installing Air Vice Marshall Moyo as the Vice Chancellor.
