President Mnangagwa has launched the Inaugural Presidential Golf Day at Royal Harare Golf Club in Harare as part of the ED-UNZA scholarships fundraising program.

At least 176 players are participating in the tournament today with the prize-giving ceremony for the winners scheduled to take place during the dinner at State House tonight.

Speaking after the launch, President Mnangagwa said he has never played golf before, “but I think I have done better than those who do play golf”.

“It is quite interesting, it relaxes, you know. Everything goes out of your mind as you concentrate on this little ball,” the President said.
