In a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya, speaking on behalf of the family, thanked individuals and institutions that offered assistance during the family’s bereavement. “On behalf of my family, my relatives and myself, I wish to convey our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the overwhelming messages of condolence, support and solidarity extended to us following the passing of our beloved father, Mr Tinos Jesmiel Rushwaya,” he said.

President Mnangagwa has appointed Dr Martin Rushwaya as the new Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet
The President announced the appointment at the first Cabinet meeting of the Second Republic’s Second Cabinet held at State House in Harare.
President Mnangagwa also revealed that the former Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda had retired.
