President Mnangagwa has applauded the Chimurenga Choirs for their instrumental role in informing the nation about various programmes being spearheaded by the Government.
Addressing the Mbare, Zimbabwe, Mbuya Nehanda, and Epworth South Chimurenga Choirs at State House in Harare today, President Mnangagwa praised them for their support for Government and ruling party initiatives.
The President also presented the choirs with hampers for the festive season.
“We appreciate the role you play in keeping our revolution alive,” said President Mnangagwa.
“Your songs are instrumental in informing the nation about key national progress and achievements under the Second Republic. They also remind us to remain focused and committed to our motherland.
“The choirs’ messages resonate with the liberation struggle’s spirit of resilience. It is the same spirit that has driven our continued development.”

The President also expressed gratitude to the founders of the choirs.
Last year, President Mnangagwa met with the choirs shortly after Christmas Day.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Information, Broadcasting and Publicity, Dr Jenfan Muswere; Politburo member Cde Omega Hungwe; and members of the Women’s League.
