President Mnangagwa has arrived to officially open the 19th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo in Masvingo.
The high-profile showcase provides the country with a strategic platform to attract tourism investment, expand markets and unlock the sector’s contribution to economic growth.
The President’s presence at the expo’s official opening underscores Government’s drive to position tourism as a key pillar of economic development, while leveraging Zimbabwe’s diverse attractions to draw investors, international buyers and visitors.

President Mnangagwa was scheduled to receive a briefing before touring exhibition stands, giving him an opportunity to engage with exhibitors and view tourism products on display.
The ceremony will also feature welcome remarks by Masvingo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira, entertainment, a gift presentation to the President.
Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Barbara Rwodzi will then introduce the Guest of Honour before the President delivers the official opening speech.
Tourism remains a key pillar of Zimbabwe’s economy, generating foreign currency, supporting employment and creating business opportunities across accommodation, transport, aviation, agriculture, retail, entertainment and the creative industries.
The hosting of the 19th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe in Masvingo is part of the broader Government strategy to leverage tourism, investment and infrastructure to unlock provincial economies.
