President Mnangagwa has arrived here where he will join regional leaders for a landmark double celebration marking King Mswati III’s 40 years on the throne and his 58th birthday tomorrow.
The commemorations will be held at Somhlolo National Stadium, with several Heads of State and Government from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) expected to attend.
President Mnangagwa was welcomed at King Mswati III International Airport by Zimbabwe Ambassador to eSwatini, Ambassador Victor Matemadanda, eSwatini Prime Minister Mr Russell Dlamini and eSwatini senior service chiefs.
He was accompanied by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Professor Amon Murwira, Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, Deputy Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet (Communications) Mr George Charamba, among other senior Government officials.
President Mnangagwa’s visit follows his trip to Eswatini last year, where he attended the country’s 57th Independence Day celebrations and officially opened the Eswatini International Trade Fair as a guest of honour.
