President Mnangagwa concludes Sanganai Expo tour

Nqobile Bhebhe in Masvingo

PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has concluded his traditional tour of the 19th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo in Masvingo.

The President toured various exhibition stands showcasing Zimbabwe’s diverse tourism products and investment opportunities, interacting with exhibitors and tourism industry stakeholders.

He was accompanied by Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi, several Cabinet ministers and key tourism industry stakeholders.

The hosting of the premier tourism showcase in Masvingo underscores the Second Republic’s thrust of taking major national events to provinces as part of efforts to stimulate local economic activity, promote investment and position destinations outside the traditional tourism hubs for accelerated growth.

Government is also stepping up efforts to leverage tourism, investment and infrastructure development to unlock provincial economies.

The expo is providing a platform for local and international buyers, investors, tourism operators and other stakeholders to forge partnerships, explore new opportunities and promote Zimbabwe as a competitive tourism destination.
