Zimbabwe’s foreign policy, guided by the principle “Zimbabwe is a friend to all and enemy to none” is a firm declaration of the country’s commitment to deepen multi-faceted partnerships and investments within the comity of nations, President Mnangagwa has said.

In his address at the oversubscribed 2026 edition of the Zimbabwe Business Forum here in New York, the President said this openness is being buttressed by bold reforms designed to continuosly improve the business environment.

The forum was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81),
“We are determined to ensure that Zimbabwe remains a favourable investment destination where capital feels safe,” he said.

President Mnangagwa assured potential investors that the navigation of administrative processes associated with establishment, regulations and incentives across various sectors is seamless and centralised under the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA).

Zimbabwe’s investment laws, he added, are enshrined in the principle of non-discrimination.
“We provide fair and equitable treatment for all investors.

“There are a variety of models and incentives on offer to enable win-win relations.

“A detailed synopsis of key processes will be presented by ZIDA, Zim Trade and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority during this forum,” said President Mnangagwa.

The President encouraged investors to bring any concerns to him should they encounter any challenges in their quest to invest in Zimbabwe.

The forum brought together local companies, international buyers, investors, financiers and development partners.
