BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe — President Emmerson Mnangagwa took to the podium today to deliver his closing remarks, marking the conclusion of the 21st ZANU-PF Annual People’s Conference.
In a speech that emphasised unity, discipline, and commitment to the party’s ideals, the President commended the participants for their patience and zeal in managing the conference agenda.

“The summary of our discussions serves as our political proclamations and call to action that must be implemented timely,” he said, urging leaders within various party structures to demonstrate unwavering loyalty to Zanu PF, which he described as “the party of liberation and the party of the future.”

President Mnangagwa highlighted the importance of addressing community concerns comprehensively, asserting that the current cadre of leaders has the mandate to ensure Zanu PF remains the driving force behind Zimbabwe’s development. He called for diligent pursuit of industrial transformation and stressed that the interests of Zanu PF align with those of the people.

As he encouraged constructive engagement and the need for unity, peace, and harmony, the President also reminded party members of the importance of adhering to the party’s constitution. “At this stage of political development and maturity, all cadres are challenged to be disciplined and follow the rules,” he declared, warning against straying from the correct line, which he noted could be “fatal.”

In closing, President Mnangagwa reiterated the need to shun corruption and strengthen bonds with the people, urging party members to return to their districts with a renewed commitment to ZANU-PF’s principles. He congratulated attendees on a successful conference, saying, “Under the ZANU-PF Government, the rise of Zimbabwe is unstoppable.”
