President Mnangagwa explores African flavours at UN forum

PRESIDENT Mnangagwa has toured various countries’ exhibition stands at the UN Tourism First Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Africa in Victoria Falls.

The first stop was at the Angolan stand followed by Botswana.

He was also shown the Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Nigeria and Uganda stands.

At the Zimbabwean stand, the dignitaries received a deafening cheer from the crowd.

Joining the tour was First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, several regional ministers, and United Nations Tourism officials led by UN Tourism Secretary-General Mr Zurab Pololikashvili.

The prestigious event runs from today to Sunday.

Hosted under the patronage of Dr Mnangagwa, and co-organised with Basque Culinary Center, it aims to harness the transformative power of gastronomy tourism for the benefit of local communities and territories in the African continent.
