President Mnangagwa has launched the African Journal of Defence and Security, a product of the Zimbabwe National Defence University.
The launch took place after the graduation ceremony where the President capped 144 students.
President Mnangagwa is the Chancellor of the institution.
In his speech to mark the historic launch of the journal, President Mnangagwa highlighted that it was a perfect platform for promoting discourse on defence and security issues.
“The launch of the journal comes at an opportune time when there is an increased need for the cross-pollination of ideas in the defence and security paradigm,” said President Mnangagwa.
“This will go a long way in enhancing the understanding of national, regional and international defence and security issues. More so as we are under a geo-political environment in which nations behave in a manner that ensures that their national interests, sovereignty and territorial integrity remain safeguarded.”
