President Mnangagwa receives credentials from three new ambassadors

New ambassadors from Iran, Ghana, and Zambia presented their credentials to President Mnangagwa today at State House, with all three pledging to enhance relations between their respective countries and Harare.

 

Iran will be represented by Ambassador Amir Hossein Hosseini, Ghana by Ambassador Bonaventure Adjavor, and Zambia by Brigadier General Wilson Tembo.

The Iranian Ambassador said he will focus on enhancing economic cooperation, with the reopening of a tractor manufacturing plant in Harare in its final stages.

Ambassador Adjavor of Ghana indicated that during his tenure, he will primarily focus on increasing economic activity between Zimbabwe and Ghana.

Zambian Ambassador Brigadier General Tembo said President Mnangagwa had acknowledged the close ties between Zimbabwe and Zambia, referring to the two countries as “siamese twins”.

He emphasised the need for increased and sustained cooperation.
