President Mnangagwa is today expected to swear in Commissioners of the Zimbabwe Media Commission, the Zimbabwe Gender Commission, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission and the Zimbabwe Land Commission following their recent appointments.
The appointments were made in terms of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
The ceremony will be held at State House and the Commissioners have already arrived.
Some Cabinet Ministers are also in attendance.
The newly appointed members of the Zimbabwe Media Commission are Susan Makore, Caesar Zvayi, Munyaradzi Hwengwere, Rufaro Ellen Mhandu, Thokozile Chitepo, Merit Thokozile Munzwembiri, Tapiwa Mashakada and Tanaka Muganyi.
ZMC is the constitutional body responsible for promoting, developing and upholding media freedom and independence in Zimbabwe.
Those appointed to sit on the Zimbabwe Gender Commission are Cowen Dziva, Thokozile Ruzvidzo, Mildred Mushunje and Tsanangurai Chirau.
Former legislator Anele Ndebele was appointed chairperson of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC).
Dr Leslie Ncube was appointed chairperson of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC), while Sheuneni Kurasha joins the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) as a Commissioner.
The Zimbabwe Land Commission (ZLC) also received new leadership, with Professor Mandivamba Rukuni appointed Deputy Chairperson.
Dr Mabel Ndakaripa-Hungwe and outgoing Local Government Permanent Secretary Dr John Basera were appointed to the ZLC.
