President Mnangagwa has urged both the ruling party Zanu PF and the Government to maintain momentum in implementing the outcomes of meetings, including today’s Politburo session.

In his address during the meeting at the ruling party’s headquarters in Harare today, the Zanu PF First Secretary emphasised the importance of delivering on the mandate entrusted to the ruling party and Government.

“I exhort us to sustain the momentum and timeously implement the outcomes of our meetings to fulfil the mandate given to us by our membership and the people of our great motherland, Zimbabwe,” he stated.

Highlighting the agenda for today’s Politburo session, President Mnangagwa mentioned discussions on the upcoming Heroes Day and Defence Forces holidays, as well as the Zanu PF National People’s Conference scheduled for October.

“This session convenes just days before our nation honours the heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and democracy we enjoy today,” he said.

The Politburo is expected to receive updates on the state of preparedness for the National People’s Conference, as well as the Heroes and Defence Forces Day Celebrations, along with other matters concerning the party and Government.

Zanu PF, according to the President, remains a powerful revolutionary mass party trusted by the people of Zimbabwe.

“Our roots are spreading far and wide in both rural and urban areas, while our ideological solidity continues to inspire others beyond our borders,” he said.
