President pledges private sector support

The Second Republic will continue supporting the private sector through constant engagement so as to grow the country’s economy towards attainment of Vision 2030, to be an upper middle class economy, President Mnangagwa said.

Speaking after touring three companies in Mutare, the President said he would like to have an environment where business and Government work together to find solutions to problems besetting the nation.

“Allow me to state that my Government us indeed alive to the challenges that are being faced by industry, including the companies we have visited today. I urge the private sector, throughout the country, to continue to proactively engage Government and it’s agencies in the spirit of dialogue, engagement and moving our country towards a more prosperous society,” he said.

The President was accompanied by Minister of Defense and War Veterans Hon Oppah Muchinguri, Minister of Information and Publicity and Broadcasting Services Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, Minister of Industry and Commerce Hon Sekei Nzenza among other senior Government officials.
