President Mnangagwa is today expected to preside over the fourth graduation ceremony of Marondera
University of Agriculture, Science and Technology at the institution’s campus in Marondera.
The graduation will see 121 students being conferred with Doctor of Philosophy, Master’s, and undergraduate degrees.
Of the 121 students, 62 are female, while 59 are male.
Before the conferment of degrees, President Mnangagwa will commission a Central Analytical Services laboratory building and conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Some of the degrees to be conferred will be in Agribusiness Entrepreneurship and Management, Animal
Science and Technology, Horticulture, Digital Marketing, Crop Science, and Natural Resources Management, among others.
President Mnangagwa arrives for graduation ceremony
President Mnangagwa has arrived at Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, where he will cap 121 students in various academic disciplines.

Upon his arrival, he toured the Central Analytical Services Laboratory at the complex before commissioning it.
President Mnangagwa, who is Chancellor of all State Universities, was accompanied by the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education,
Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Dr Frederick Shava; Permanent Secretary, Professor Fanuel Tagwira; Vice Chancellor,
Professor Justice Nyamangara; the university council; and heads of departments.
A procession leading to the main event has since entered the auditorium to signal the commencement of the ceremony.

121 students graduate in various academic disciplines
Today marks a significant milestone for Marondera University as we celebrate the graduation of 121 students across a diverse array of academic disciplines.
This year’s graduation ceremony honours the hard work, dedication, and resilience of the graduates who have completed their studies in various fields.

Students honoured for outstanding performance
At least two overall best male and female students are set to be conferred with the Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa Chancellor’s prize for being the most outstanding students.
The two are Tengani Nokuthaba Ntandoyenkosi and Farai Kadembo.
Each of them will walk away with US$1 000.
Kadembo was studying a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Crop Production and Technology, while Ntandoyenkosi was studying a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Animal Science and Technology.
Four other students also got the Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa Chancellor’s prize and will walk away with US$500 each.
These are Praise Manhamo, Trevor Gilbert Mapfumo, Michael Chabuka and Almeline Moyo.
